科学誌「セル」も日本の子宮頸がんワクチン問題に言及

「ある日本人研究者が行ったマウスに脳障害が起きたという発表に対し、世間に誤解を招いたという主張をした医師・ジャーナリストが、名誉棄損裁判を起こされている。この訴訟は、医師でジャーナリストの村中璃子氏が、発表されたスライドは各ワクチンとコントロールに対して各1匹のマウスについての結果であり、示された脳切片はワクチンを接種したマウスのものですらなかったと書いたことに対するもの。村中氏は、人びとの不安を利用した反子宮頸がんワクチン運動に立ち向かい、このワクチンに関する大切な情報を届けた仕事に対し、2017年のジョン・マドックス賞を贈られている。
